Player only — no content included

CouchPotatoPlayer does not contain, provide, sell, recommend, or include channels, movies, series, playlists, provider access, or subscriptions. Use only your own legally obtained sources.

Terms of Use — CouchPotatoPlayer

Effective from 2026-07-18 for CouchPotatoPlayer 1.1.2 (338). Provider: Stelios Sakalis (Privatperson), Talhausring 32, 68219 Mannheim, Deutschland.

1. Player-only service

CouchPotatoPlayer is a software player only. The app contains, provides, sells, recommends, or brokers no channels, films, series, playlists, provider accounts, or subscriptions. The developer does not operate a streaming service or endorse a source that a user configures.

The app is provided free of charge. It sells no in-app purchases, subscriptions, media, or provider access.

2. Your sources and rights

You may add only sources that you are legally authorized to access and play. You are responsible for the URL, account, playlist, EPG, media, license, territorial restrictions, household/device restrictions, and every required consent. Do not use the app to infringe copyright, bypass access controls, redistribute content, share credentials unlawfully, or access a service contrary to its terms or law.

3. Provider relationship

Your provider is independent from CouchPotatoPlayer. The developer does not control its availability, catalog, security, billing, data practices, or legality. Enter credentials only for a service you trust. Prefer HTTPS; unencrypted HTTP may expose credentials and traffic.

4. Function availability

Playback, search, EPG, tracks, AirPlay, Picture in Picture, synchronization, and other functions depend on device, operating system, provider, network, codec, container, metadata, receiver, and available resources. No statement guarantees every provider, format, receiver, or timeline. Prepared AirPlay may require processing time/storage; transcoded media can use app-controlled seeking without a complete receiver-native timeline.

5. Accounts, security, and parental controls

Protect provider credentials and device access. Use the app's PIN/parental controls where appropriate, but do not treat them as a substitute for supervision or provider controls. User-selected sources can contain mature material; the app is not Made for Kids.

6. Privacy and diagnostics

The Privacy Policy explains local storage, direct provider communication, optional synchronization, voice search, local-network AirPlay, and explicit diagnostic submission. Never include secrets or third-party personal data in support material. You may revoke optional permissions and delete local profiles/data as described in the policy.

7. Acceptable use and suspension

You must not misuse the app, interfere with security or infrastructure, distribute malware, submit unlawful material, exploit diagnostics/support, or represent that content is supplied by CouchPotatoPlayer. The developer may restrict developer-operated support/diagnostic services to protect users, comply with law, or stop abuse; this does not control independent provider access.

8. Updates, availability, and liability

Updates may fix defects, change compatibility, or discontinue unsafe/unsupported behavior. The app is provided subject to mandatory consumer rights. To the extent legally permitted, no warranty is made about independent providers, uninterrupted streams, catalogs, metadata, or network quality.

The provider has unlimited liability for intent and gross negligence, culpable injury to life, body, or health, and every case where liability is mandatory by law. For a slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual duty, liability is limited to the foreseeable loss typical for this kind of agreement. Liability for other slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law. This does not alter statutory claims against independent providers or other third parties.

9. Termination and deletion

You can stop using the app, delete provider profiles, disable sync, revoke permissions, and uninstall it. Deletion from the device does not terminate your independent provider contract or delete data held by that provider, iCloud, or a support channel; use their controls separately.

10. Contact and changes

Legal notice: https://cpp.team-ei.de/apple/imprint. Support: stelios@sakalis.eu and https://cpp.team-ei.de/apple/support. Privacy: stelios@sakalis.eu and https://cpp.team-ei.de/apple/privacy. Material changes will be published with an effective date. German law applies without restricting mandatory consumer-protection rules in the user’s country of residence. The statutory venue applies; an exclusive venue is agreed only where legally permitted. Mandatory consumer and withdrawal rights remain unaffected.

The provider does not voluntarily undertake and is not willing to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. Any mandatory statutory participation obligation remains unaffected.
